This week is about a bit lighter side of AI. We are far, far away from even beginning anything that looks like intelligent thought from artificial intelligence. They don’t reason; they regurgitate. They spew out patterns they found. And sometimes, they are delightful. I’ll be drawing a bunch from this wonderful website:

Please, please do not let the computers come up with April Fool’s Day pranks.
I gave DaVinci, the largest version of GPT-3, the following instruction:
Write a list of harmless April Fool's Day pranks that your computer might play on you.
And here is its response:
The computer might change your desktop background to a picture of a clown.
The computer might change the volume on your speakers so that it is either very loud or very quiet.
The computer might open and close the CD drive randomly.
The computer might popup a message saying "You have been pranked!"

Well dang it. As usual, I think the amount of exercise I’m doing is fine, but you just can’t outrun a bad diet (and from what I understand, even athletes eat a lot but need to eat lots of specific things). Four out of seven days were overeating, and sometimes WAY overeating. Ooof.
